Spy sweeping products don’t remove it and, frankly, I would like it gone. I don’t know which part of the hard drive it’s installed in or how it’s labled.

Install http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php
Analyse using http://www.hijackthis.de/ which will tell you what anomalous processes are running. Once you know this, you can find the executable and delete it.
